Highland Forest County Park

Highland Forest features 20 miles of trails, 11 of which are groomed and track set daily, offering a variety of challenges for many different levels of skiing ability. There are cut-offs at each trail if you want to decrease the distance.

Stoney Pond State Forest

The 13-mile Stoney Pond Nordic Ski Trail winds through both natural forests and plantations and around Stoney Pond. Most trails are designed for skiers with a beginner or intermediate skill level.

Green Lake State Park

Green Lakes State Park features two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest. There are 10 miles of trails that cross-country skiers can use.

Beaver Lake Nature Center

Beaver Lake offers 7 miles of ski trails. All ski trails are rated easy with the exception of the Three Meadows Trail which is rated moderate. Trails are one way on weekends. Please note: Beaver Lake does not rent skis, you need to bring your own.

Great Bear Recreational Trails

Great Bear Springs Recreation Area, owned by the city of Fulton and the Town of Volney, offers nearly 8 miles of “single track” wooded trails open to cross county skiing or snowshoeing. Free. This unique area comprises approximately 444 acres along the east bank of the Oswego River, with access from County Route 57, between the Village of Phoenix and the City of Fulton.
