This is my go-to chili. It is a slightly modified version of the recipe found on the back of Hanover’s Redskin Kidney Bean can.
This recipe yields 8 – 12-oz servings. (6 lbs, 3 qts)
INGREDIENTS:
Qty | Unit | Ingredient |
3 | lbs | Ground Beef |
1½ | cup | Chopped Onion |
5 | Tbs | Chili Powder |
3 | cloves | Garlic |
3 | 27 oz | Redskin Kidney Beans, rinsed & drained |
3 | 28 oz | Tomato Sauce |
3 | 28 oz | Tomatos, Diced |
1 | Tbs | Salt |
¾ | tsp | Pepper |
DIRECTIONS:
- Brown beef in heavy saucepan.
- Add onion and cook until tender.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes; stir occasionally.
