The “Tug Hill West” area refers to the area between the east end of Lake Ontario and the center of the Tug Hill Plateau in New York. Historically Kick ‘n Gliders stayed in Pulaski when we skied this area but but more recently we’ve stayed at the Tailwater Lodge in Altmar, NY.

Winona State Forest
About thirty years ago, cross country skiers discovered this wooded, winter wonderland, about 50 miles north of Syracuse on the Tug Hill Plateau. Over twenty years ago the Tug Hill Tourathon was formed and with it many new trails were developed. The organizers have held their well known 50K citizens race ever since. The race volunteers seem to have as much fun as the racers.
